Hi Jordan, What a great idea for the patients! I've signed Whitney's guestbook. She sounds like such a sweet lady! And Praise God she and Klint were led to Longview. Amazing story. :o)) Prayers for Whitney and all the family. Blessings, Sharon

Political joke of the day :)

- author unknown:

I recently asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?' She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.' Her parents beamed.

'Wow...what a worthy goal.' I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come ove… Continue

Agrippa's Trilemma: How do we justify what we claim to know?

I thought this would be a good complementing article to what Paul Manata was talking about in the videos Mike posted, where he asks the atheist about the problem of "infinite regression" when appealing to beliefs being justified by evidence. This article sums up the trilemma pretty well, I believe. Enjoy!!

"Some Thoughts on Lordship Salvation" - by M. James Sawyer

Some Thoughts on Lordship Salvation

By: M. James Sawyer , Th.M., Ph.D. (Bio)

Also available in: Download Word Document

Originally delivered November 1990 at Evangelical Theological Society Annual Meetings in Kansas City, MO

The debate over Lordship salvation that has come to the fore again in recent years has raised anew theological issues that are as old as the Reformation and simply refuse to die. What is the nature of salvation? How is it appropriated? What is the evidence of the fact tha… Continue

Original Sin

Hey all,

Victor and I sort of got off on this tangent in the Traducianism thread, so I wanted to discuss it separately so it wouldn't get lost in that other thread. I love that we can hash these things out on here.

What would everyone's view be of "original sin", and by that, I mean the imputation of Adam's sin onto man?

I tend to see this plainly taught in Romans 5 (especially when combined with Romans 7...we can't have Paul contradicting himself), but wanted others' input.

Here is my "logi… Continue

Okay guys..who believes in "Traducianism"?

It's a hot topic over at CARM right now, so I thought I'd ask here. Basically, does God still "create" every human person (therefore creating fallen humans), or is our fallen-ness somehow "passed on" through..well, I dunno..sperm and egg?

I know that Gordon Clark believed in Traducianism. It was one aspect of his beliefs that I just didn't see from Scripture. What say you all? Does God create people with fallen natures? Does God even "create" anyone anymore?

Thanks for the friendship Jordan. May God bless you in your studies.
I haven't read much on Gordon Clark. I have a lot of Vincent Cheung material though. I don't know how similar their views are.

Thanks Jordan for the welcome. And for the friendship.
You might be interested to know that my eldest son, Daniel, has just completed his 2nd year of medicine at University College London. I hope your exams have gone (or are going) well. It's a stressful time for students. Daniel has just finished his and is now at home for 4 long months.

The NEXT 50 ? Now there's a scary thought!! You're young enough, you'll likely see all of it, and then some! Me, probably 30 more, most likely. How liberating NOT to be adding "should the Lord tarry" LOL

Hi there, Jordan--Got my music up and running! Thanks for the advice--Have a listen when you get a chance! And I loved your video--Cartoon from the 50s--The sad thing is, I think it was intended to teach people not to take our freedoms and our country for granted--I really believe they thought they were being extremist just to prove a point; they didn't really think it would be as true as it has become.

Jordan-Thanks again! I successfully managed to add pics--everything was laid out just as you described. As for the music, all my files (except for my itunes library) are in wav format--so I need to condense them to mp3. (I have a program in my computer that describes how to do that. Will tackle that tomorrow. Thanks once again!

Do I drag a music file or click on it when I get the chance? And can I obtain it fromany source in m,y library or certain sources? In my media player, I have files of me singing that I would like to put therre. Thanks for any help!!
