In my opinion, most bible colleges will reject your eschatology, and what that leads to for them is the rejection of the gospel and plan of Jesus, as preterist eschatology promotes and presents. What I am trying to say is that your eschatology is ju…

The law (as a schoolmaster) will always point to men's inability to be righteous towards God outside of Christ. So in that sense, yes, the law, while not in effect for the elect believers, is still the means by which men cannot save themselves by th…

Wow, talking about holding presuppositions. Mr. Hunt doesn't seem to be 'hunting' for any answers outside his paradigm. Why is it always the men with much to lose the toughest ones to convince?

A Little Bit About Me:
I am a sheep trying to work out my salvation, but I need more fear and trembling.:-) I am a full preterist in my eschatology and I adhere to the doctrines of election and predestination. However, I am not a 'Calvinist' - I have never read John Calvin's works.

I work in the music industry in Nashville. I am married to a true Proverbs 31 woman, Ginger. We have 2 sons - Zach (19) and Noah (10).

Oh yeah, I have a MySpace site as well, just search my name in the 'music' section....

The Butcher of Preterism

If anybody cares to see the most heinous butchering of preterism I have ever see (or heard), call or email Jim Brown or his wife Mary at www.graceandtruth.net, and request the free tape # 2506. He says the tapes are free, so he has to send you one. It is the most twisting of Mat 10:23 and Mat 16:27/28, and Luke 21:32 I have ever heard. He says that Christ's 'coming' was spiritually in Acts 2, not 70 AD. He hates preterism, but his ignorance of the Greek is even more so.

Some Thoughts on The Paganism of New Years

Found this and thought it interesting. Hope I don't get as many tongue lashings for this as I did Saturnalia (Christmas). :-)

THE TRUTH ABOUT NEW YEAR'S

MOST people carelessly assume that celebrating New Year's Eve is a Christian custom.
But did the practice of "waiting the old year out" really come from the Bible?
Is January 1 the true beginning of a new year? Who has the AUTHORITY to determine when a new year begins?

An Ancient Pagan Custom

New Year's is one of the olde… Continue

So, why do we do this thing again? :-)

Christmas; The Mass of the Messiah

Matthew 26:26 28 Jesus took bread and brake it and said. Take, eat, this is my body and he took the cup and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament

break bread = a Jewish term that meant to fellowship together

drink of a cup = an old testament idiom meaning to undergo a difficult ordeal (in particular, a violent death)

John 6:53 Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, ye ha… Continue

Televangelist's Ex Looking For Wife On Internet

Alright everyone, this is just too creepy and strange. Pretty gutsy for a guy convicted of battery. How do you all feel about the integrity of a so-called 'man of God' approaching a potential new spouse in this manner? Here's the story cut n pasted form the net. Personally I find it distasteful...

DULUTH, Ga. — The ex-husband of national televangelist Juanita Bynum, who divorced after a parking lot fight between the two landed him in jail, plans to take his search for a new wife to the Internet… Continue

He kinda appears that way the few times I've seen him on TV. Next time you see him you should ask him if he needs a standby bass player ;-)~

Bob I'm curious to know if you know Jamey Johnson or not. No specific reason. I just know you work in the music industry in Nashville.

Well, Bro. Minner. Grace and peace to you in Jesus' name. While serving as a pastor in New Orleans, LA, I always steered clear of eschatological sermons. In 2005 when the winds of Hurricane Katrina brought me to my current city of Little Rock, AR, I had much time to pray and reflect and asked the Lord to lead me to a deeper level of His truth. Within a few months, I had discovered the web sites of Mike Blume and Larry T. Smith, both partial preterists. After about a year of further study, I found indications in scripture of a resurrection in A. D. 70. Then I heard a friend of mine say that he had recently attended a meeting of apostles from around the world. "They're all preterists," he said, "and they believe there was some sort of resurrection in A. D. 70." That was the much needed confirmation I was seeking to move toward full-preterism. I then embarked on a two-year intensive study of the resurrection, resulting in a extensive teaching series called "Last Days Bible Code: An Introduction to Theomatic Apostolic Eschatology" and a monograph titled "Toward Understanding the Resurrection: A Meta-Eschatological Approach" which I presented at the annual Spirit & Truth Conference in El Campo. I don't really feel comfortable adopting the term "preterist," "full preterist," "hyper-preterist," etc. because of my natural distrust of labels. Although I've studied the resurrection intensively, I have not yet thoroughly explored such other issues as the judgment and the identity of the kings in Revelation. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Right now, the Lord is giving me information on the High-Priestly characteristics: garments, speech, prayers etc. in order to lay out the practical implications of preterism for the church. I also subscribe to the Kingdom theology taught by my mentor Dr. Kelley Varner. My vision is to combine kingdom theology with apostolic/covenant eschatology in order to enable the church to more fully demonstrate the Lord's nature and ministry. In my writings political Zionism and its religious "enabler" pre-millennial dispensationalism are major targets both of Brother Larry Smith and myself.
