I was a literal 24 hr. guy for many years, and was a huge fan of "Answers in Genesis" with Ken Ham. I still like that ministry, and I have no axe to grind with that view, but are we supposed to believe that the "days" in Genesis were literal 24 hr...

We should send them a message and tell them they didn't get all of us. They need to make sure that "all" of us are held accountable for our blesphemy. Notice that "they" are the ones who feel the need to "reveal" our heresies. Who's throwing the d...

I would agree with Brock, and for Darrell, just to clarify, in the O.T. the "Spirit" came and went and always had to bring forth his presence with the saints. This is seen as the cloud coming down, the tabernacle, etc., and notice that in Psalm 51...

I would agree with Brock. The eyes of the O.T. Saints were opened to faith, and they were even considered righteous and a friend to God, yet they were at emnity with God, and did not have the Spirit. So we are sure to conclude that "faith" is not ...

Nice job Alan. Simmons is the typical ignoramous of people who try to find errors within preterism because they've been "shocked" when they find that our arguments are sound and easy to understand. "It can't be true!" "I must find a way around thi...

Ryan, I think you are getting the right idea. I think most people make way too much out of "today" when Jesus was speaking. When Jesus died he was separated from God's presence and bore the sins of the world as a condemned man. When he died, this...

Our official position on worship at "The Well"

Exalting God takes place in multiple forms of worship. To exalt means to lift up, praise, glorify, honor, or to rise in rank, character or status. This is an expression of our vertical relationship between us and God. Since God doesn’t “need” our praise or exaltation, the purpose of exalting God is for people to place Him in His proper perspective in our hearts and minds so that we always keep our own life in its proper perspective. By placing Him first and foremost in all the things that we thi… Continue

Thanks for the reply Joseph! I understand now why your statement is worded the way it is about eschatology. I have printed off the attachment and will read through it. I have no issue with either immersion or sprinkling as I don't view it as neccassary for salvation. I was just curious what your stance, if any, was on immersion or sprinkling and the wording made it seem like you were "partial" (for lack of a better word) towards immersion. I will write back with any questions or comments after reading your attachment. Thanks again!

Joseph,

Checked out your churches web site. It looks very exciting! I read through the "What We Believe" and "What We Do Not Believe" sections and watched the video. I want to ask you about your comment

"We believe that through Christ all things were fulfilled according to the promises of the Old Testament including all or most of New Testament prophecy."

So is there something you still believe to be unfulfilled?

And of your statement

"We regularly celebrate the act of water baptism upon request by any new believer"

So this means you baptise by immersion and not sprinkling?

Again I pray God will lead faithful followers to your church who will help establish it and that God will use your ministry in a mighty way to spread His Kingdom and the knowledge of the Lord into ALL the world.

In Christ,

David

Thanks for your comments Joseph! Without airing too much dirty laundry my wife wouldn't be willing to sit down with a pastor/counselor over something like this that she doesn't care about. I base this off of things in our past where this was the case involving something she was more concerned with yet didn't want to talk with a pastor/Christian counselor. I'm divided in if I continue to go to church at the Baptist church I will not grow and will only become more resentful and I don't want that. But if I go to David's church she will not go with me and has refused to do so. But not just for David's church but any other church. It's even harder because we have 2 daughters. But like I said I don't want to air too much so just be in prayer for us. I hope that God will bless you in the foundation of your new church and lead faithful followers to you who have a true servants heart!

God speed,

David

Hi Joseph,
I have been following your articles and writings on women teaching with great interest. Over the past 6 years I have come very slowly to agree with the position you are proposing. I won't say anything on the blog as I feel that it is nearly impossible for a woman to argue this point without it appearing that she is trying to further her own desires and truly while I want the truth, I don't believe it would come across that way. I know it probably doesn't mean as much coming from a woman, but I really appreciate your writing on this issue and I agree with your conclusions.

Blessings,
Sherrie
