Larry, look at it like this: the Lord NEVER ordained any denomination, so you are already in a greater fulfilled Kingdom than they can imagine. I pray God gives you wisdom in all of this. Be free brother, you already are....
I agree with your comments Jean-Pierre and Bob. I am expecting that many will leave the ELCA, but there will also be many that will stay because they don't believe it will affect their individual fellowships. I will still have a hard time viewing ...
To me, the issue isn’t so much that of them being a denomination supporting it, but rather where their hearts are in the bigger picture in rebellion to God. The reference in the OT to God not approving of homosexual lifestyles is clearcut:

Sure Larry just a pun....sorry.
In some way, I could understand that one is struggling with homosexuality just like compulsive gambling and alcoholism. This would not in my understanding prevent one from preaching the gospel and taking care of pe...
Jean-Pierre,
It is the leadership that has thumbed their nose at God rather than a group of members who are trying to spread sin throughout the church. This is what I mean by “it is not a case of sin entering through the back door, but an open reb...

A Little Bit About Me:
I grew up attending a Lutheran Church, but never got serious about following the Lord until I was 22 years old. I soon got involved in a charismatic church and was very involved in that teaching. The soon coming of the Lord was something that preoccupied my mind as I listened to the Prophecy Club whenever I could. When I was 32, I heard someone say that most of book of Revelation has been fulfilled. This disturbed me, but prompted me to do a lot of studying on the subject. Some time later I became a partial preterist. I was also introduced to the reformed faith which I eventually came to realize was logically superior to what I had been taught to believe as a charismatic. After some time trying to reconcile two different comings of the Lord and failing, I had no choice but to accept the full preterist position.
I am now 43. I have been married for 8 years and have one 7 year old daughter.
