My Master Plan to Become "Orthodox"

If as a Partial Preterist you can just ignore most of the scripture references in the WCF and still say that you hold to the WCF then why don't we just ignore all of the references, say that we believe in a 3rd Coming and Phyiscal Resurrecion, but that it just is not in the Bible and then we are magically Orthodox.

Or, if we need to give up a verse then give up (for example) John 6 last day or some obscure scripture reference = 3rd…

Michael Horton's (Amill) Response to Frame (Postmill / supported by Talbot)

Some more comments that show that Frame (who is supported by Talbotites) is going against the grain of true Reformed Theology. The reason I am posting all of these is because the Postmill (Talbotites) try to claim that they are Reformed and that we Full Prets can not be. The trouble is that they also have many allegations against them about not being Reformed as well. I personally don't need the lable. I am a Sovereign Grace Preterist. I am just pointing out the irony and hypocricy…

John Frame (whom Talbot Supports) - John Robbins on Frame / Frame's Book Reviewed

To Recap: The Postmill / Theonomy position is not seen as "Reformed" by many, many, many Reformed Professors and groups. Amill. is the Reformed view. The Creeds and Reformed Confessions only support an Amill. view. Therefore Postmill is not seen as a "Reformed" position by many of the Reformed. Many see Postmill as dangerous and something that must be rejected.

1. We have already shown that Jason and Talbot and Sam are actually denying Scripturalism now (i.e. they are…

Canon Formed Church or Church Formed Canon / Scripturalism / Sam, Talbot, Bradfield

Canon Formed Church or Church Formed Canon?

Why Full Prets Can Use The Bible As The Standard / Why The Futurist Church Can Not Use The Confessions As The Standard.

Jason Bradfield made a great point back then in 2009 to me. You see folks, if you are a Scripturalist (as Sam / Bradfield and the Talbotites claim to be) then you must agree with Bradfield's previous Feb 2009 argument. Therefore, to hold the Creeds and Confessions first (above scripture) - is wrong.…

No clouds, white horse, lightning or fanfare, but I have come again in all humility. LoL Thanks for the welcome. In some ways I feel that I've been gone for a lifetime and yet it was only 2 years. More hair has departed and my aging body is beginning to feel the wear and tear of too much youthful pavement pounding, but I'm back to set everyone straight on every issue since I now hold the keys to right thinking. :) Seriously, if anything has taken place, I have been tempered by the toils of life and I have a greater appreciation for the need to make a positive contribution. Mike, you have remained steady over the years and for that I am grateful. Thanks again, brother. Godspeed!

Hey bro'~
I'm back, it seems that something went wrong with my account. Everything is well, The Lord is sooooo good and merciful, I love Him so much day after day, no matter what, whether things are going ok or not, He REIGNS, and that should bring us to our knees in adoration that it's due unto Him.

Blessings to you and your family.

Hello, first time back after a long sabatical.

Good post here. When I'm talking to folks who have the eyes to see, I suggest a look from the 'present' view. What happens now when a saint of God dies and goes before the throne of Judgement and Grace. On a personal note what will happen to you after your last breath. Luke 16:19-31 is difficult for futurist, they refuse the light of prederism. It is obvious in the account of the rich man and Lazarus there were at that time two possible places, Hades in torment as for the rich man, waiting the future great white thrown judgement and the bosom of Abraham for Lazarus, allow me the liberty, he was in a paradise waitng the judgement along with Abraham (the first judgement). No man could have entrance into the holiest of holys' on earth except the high priest once a year by the shedding of blood and ceremonial washings and preparations. No man could enter the holy of holies until the blood of Christ covered them from the rightiousness judgement of God. When Christ died the temple cloth was torn in two signifying restored relationship between God and man through Jesus Christ. A Pastor friend of mine (not a prederist) stumbled in a sermon on Matt. 27:51-53. I took him through the Scriptues and showed him what happened. He is still stunned. Jesus Christ now sits at the right hand of God no longer judging the living and the dead (as the Creed says) but the living. Either you stand before God trying to justify yourself or knowing by God's grace you are one of His elect saved by the blood of the Lamb and nothing of yourself. Jesus is your high priest, (Hebrews Chap 9). And you having been given the righiousness of Christ and Christ taken the penalty for your sins God pronounces you holy and blameless. You do not have to wait like Lazarus did, you enter the Kingdom of our Lord and King as a "Son of God". That is what this prederism stuff is all about. If that doesn't make your day---what could. Amen!
