What bothers me more than anything is his unwillingness to respond. It was obvious that since the only post he responded to was unfavorable to his friend and his friend's attack on us, it just left his motivation for membership suspect. Be upfront and be honest. Don't lurk in the weeds. Disagree and do it with integrity.
I believe that regardless of belief, if someone on the site is asked a direct question a number of times and refuses for whatever reason to answer, that means they have no answer, they chose to ignore the question because they don't care or they are no longer online. In 4 months that ought to be enough time for them to have an answer.

- If he had not removed his membership to this point, considering his sad statements, it doesn't appear that he has the integrity to act responsibly. Based upon things he'd written months ago, it was obvious to me that this fellow was easily swayed without doing serious investigation. Whenever someone like Doug does not see immediate red flags when he witnesses the caustic condemnation of others, it tells me a great deal. Listen, I have consistently opposed membership revocations. I thnk people should be free to dissent as long as they display a Christ-like manner in doing so. But they need to respond or what's the use of community. As I said, anyone can view this site without membership.

- Wanda, the note you left for Douglas is particularly poignant because it is clear by his actions that he has already taken a strong anti-preterist position and has shown no interest in interaction. I wrote the following almost 4 months ago because the first and ONLY discussion Douglas chose to take part in was a defense of those who have consistently attacked us:
I thought I made it clear that you were welcome hear regardless of your eschatological views. Not all Christians are as magnanimous and that ought to be somewhat instructive.
Douglas, I assume you didn't intentionally sidestep my question so I'll ask it again and add two more.
1. Do you agree with CR's published statement on "hyper-preterism"?
2. Do you believe "hyper-preterism" is a damnable heresy?
3. Are "hyper-preterists" brothers and sisters in the Lord or are they no different than cults such as the Mormon's and JW's?
Although I'm not an admin here, I believe I can speak from experience that the truthful answers to these questions will not exclude you from membership. It will, however, give us a greater insight into your mindset and presuppositions. As long as you conduct yourself in a manner worth of a Christ-follower and don't engage in anything unbecoming, I see no reason why your stay here will not be both pleasant and beneficial. If sanity has been thrown out the window, then why would such a person be interested in joining of site of the insane? I find it strange and unsettling that Douglas has chosen not to answer these questions here while at the same times is rather verbose on other sites in his dissent of preterism. Disclosure and honesty is the key. Anyone can read what is printed on this site so excluding "a young person interested in this material..." would not be considered a reason for membership. Granted in times past when the site was "private" there could have been interest in gleaning and sharing these private dialogues.
Truthful answers and meaningful attempts at dialogue is in my view a meaningful component of membership. This is a social community for goodness sakes.
Why again is Douglas a member here? If he is not here to debate the issues and sharpen a little iron in the context of a Christ-centered community, I see no inherent value of membership. Clearly there are members here who do not fall lockstep behind the views held by the site moderators and founders so it should be clear that we aren't exclusive. However, when members have been repeatedly asked for clarifications based upon their verbosity elsewhere, and they've been given 4 months to respond, I think that's time enough. What say you Wanda and anyone who reads this for that matter?

I have to warn you, although full preterist, I've come to very different conclusions than the norm. I'm Heaven Later, Immortal Body at Death, Individual Spiritual Body, The NJ is not the church, the First Resurrection was at the beginning of the tribulation, etc etc. I know this is a shock to most full preterists is why I warn you.
