surprised he didn't use hyperpreterism in the title. maybe he's decided that hyper might offend some people, so as a Christian, he has ceased. if that is the case I applaud him for that at least...

Good luck with the site larry. Although I find debate really doesn't get anyone anywhere. I think everyone (especially us calvinists) should just preach what we feel is God's truth and let God change people's minds and hearts (kind of what Sam has...

Tom, I appreciate your intention in defending the truth of biblical propositions. However, you seem to forget that God did not reveal Himself in a list of propositions. He chose a story, with poetry, types/antiypes, themes, prophetic visions, etc....

I hear you Richard and can definitely empathize and sympathize. i appreciate your honesty and your courage when it come to understanding God's Word. I, on the other hand, have run out of courage. Engaging in the eschatological debate 95% of the ti...

Duncan, I thought you used to believe that the antichrist/man of lawlessness was still future to us? Have you altered your views to make the beast/antichrist figures culminate in Titus? chris

I thought House Divided was excellent. I devoured it in about three days or so. I thought all the chapters were well written and well organized. I wrote a similar response on Amazon, that even if someone doesn't agree or buy into some of the prete...

Chris, I see Trumpets at the fall of the Temple, and I see the fall of Jericho as a type of the fall of the Temple. Trumpets blow and the city falls.

Shifting the Preterist Focus

As the first half of the year comes to a close, I have been doing a lot of thinking and meditating on my walk with the Lord. I'm remembering when i first became a Christian, and the fire I had to live for Christ and tell people about Him. I then remember when I become a biblical preterist, and the increased joy I felt at realizing that Christ keeps His promises, that this world isn't falling apart, and that I can have an amazing and victorious Life now in the presence of God. It is the focus on… Continue

Gog and Magog, a question

Who are Gog and Magog of Revelation 20? Secondly (obviously as a preterist its established that I recognize figurative and apocalyptic language), how is it that God devoured them with fire from heaven?

I would appreciate any thoughts and opinions, thanks for all the good input I get from you all

Romans 11 -- Remnant or all Israel?

Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace.[c] But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
7 What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. 8 Just as it is written:

“ God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears th… Continue

Adam's State of Being and Dominion (piggybacking off of Jason's post)

I've heard many arguments (we all have) of why the "death of Adam" cannot be physical death. We talk about Adam being made of dust, of needing the tree of life, and quite simply of the fact that Adam did not die physically the day he ate of the forbidden tree. However, when I engage people about many "orthodox" and "presupposed" christian beliefs I often ask them practical and logical questions to get their mind working. Such as: If 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 is a rapture (whether or not Jesus take… Continue
