You helped me in your previous message I was responding and agreeing with Brock. I was just giving reasoning behind why I was asking. I am not a very clear thinker or writer so it comes out all wrong. In my head I am saying stuff totaly different ...

Zech 14 is best understood with chapters 12 and 13 as a whole with 14. It is judgement, yes. Kelly Birks really helped me with this, so perhaps he will chime in and answer in detail.

What about the valley that was formed from him standing on it? The preacher I've listened to jesus has come the first time literally and so he believes he'll come a second time literally and this Chapter is proof. I uderstand it to be more figurat...

Yes, the Gospels tell us that Jesus frequently stood on the Mt. of Olives, that the Olivet Discourse was delivered there, and that he ascended from there. Prophecy fulfilled. :)

I think I saw this question and answer earlier on this site, but I though the answer was a good one. Notice that the next verse has to do with fleeing... Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before Je...

Derrell, This subject is systematically of great importance. I will make this observation and if you still have questions about water baptism after considering the logic involved, We could pursue it further It is invalid to impose the new covena...

"Anything to keep up the ol work of water baptismal regeneration, eh tom?" Unfortunately Jordan you have allowed your emotion to rule your reason on this subject. I have never advocated baptismal regeneration, nor do I now! I have never advocated...

The Scriptures do not contradict, but our understanding does. Most of the time, we're just taking things out of their original context to support our pet theories (kinda like you did with the John the Baptist baptism....it is not contradictory to ...

The hermeneutic that claims that scripture is inerrant excludes the possibility of contradiction or apparent contradiction. Inerrant scripture claims that every scripture is true and as truth no contradiction can occur apparent or not apparent. T...

George, As you persue your answers to the questions posed in scripture I would strongly advise that you not adopt a method of interpretation that pits one scripture against another. This method results in the conclusion that all scripture is not ...

Gate, isn't the term 'charismatic preterist' contradictory to the ceasing of the gifts, exactly as scripture teaches? Gotta poke you on that bro...:-) As a former charismatic myself, I just can't see how one reconciles the two things in a balanced...

thomas, It is also interesting how easy it is for some to destroy the clear teaching of scriputure in regards to Justification by faith alone. Maybe I am misunderstanding your position on justfication? Do you have to be baptised in water to be ju...

George here is something you can look at when you have time. A lot of studies on free will and grace.

George I suspected all that info at once was too much. Just take it slow and do some studies on the matters that you posted on. Any questions let me know and I will try to answer in a less theological manner in which you can understand. God Bless and take care.

George, thank you for the story. Each of us has a journey. I am also enjoy the teachings of David Curtis (if you didn't know already, he's a member on this forum) among others. I just got a new mp3 from Don Preston, He Came as a Thief in the mail yesterday and plan on uploading it my iPod today.

I think you'll find that preterism fits scripture better than any other view and therefore is the truth. Since coming to this revelation, the Bible makes more sense to me and is more exciting to me and am loving studying it.

I had trouble with the "this generation" and "soon" verses as well and the explanations given by the "pulpit". But being naive and thinking "they've been to Bible college and all, that they knew more" so I trusted their explanations much too long. But God in His grace and mercy has shown me His truth and I am ever grateful and humbled to be honored in such a manner.

Hope you enjoy the site and learn tons.

Blessings George.

(BTW, I work in a chiropractors office. "My" doctors include a "Dr. George". He's married to another chiro, "Dr. Lisa". We use their first names because we are a friendly office and they have the same last name so it keeps it simple too. lol)
