I frankly do not understand this whole subject. Truth is not in the subjunctive, truth is in the indicative or declarative or enunciative. In logical terms truth is in the proposition and the subjunctive is not a proposition, therefore it is not sub…

Thanks Michael, I am sorry that you think that I am not being positive or am ranting when I attempt to apply the Clarkian principles and method to scriptural inquiry. My original observation of the fallacy of ambiguity is about as Clarkian as it is…

I would ask who is not prepared to prove the contradiction of both the affirmative and the negative of Don's proposed resolve? The contradiction of the affirmative is "Some of the law has not been terminated", this I understand is Chuck's view. Th…

Chuck, I was not being hard on Mike personally, I was being hard on the idea of Christians debating the Law. We know the first covenant was temporary and imperfect and was ended when the Deliverer came out of Sion. And I concur completely with your…

Michael, I will positively assert that "The end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned: From which SOME having swerved and turned aside unto VAIN JANGLING; Desiring to be TEACHERS OF THE LAW UNDERST…

This whole idea is so ambiguous it is as absurd as the idea of the oxymoron of fulfilled eschatology. Why beat around the bush with ambiguous absurdities? Is something that never involved more than far less than 1% of the population of mankind reall…

Michael, John 10:24-26 says what it says and Acts 13:46 says what it says. since you choose to ignore and not refute that I assume you agree. You then jump to Romans 9 instead and this passage says what it says. And this passage agrees completely…

Man will become like God

I just watched a video clip provided on this website by Carm. The title of the video is; "Do the laws of logic contradict miracles?

Carm's thesis is that the cause that permits God to perform miracles are natural physical laws of which man is not yet aware and therefore God's miracles do not contradict logic. Unfortunately this reduces to humanistic empiricism with the implication that as soon as man becomes aware of these heretofore unknown natural physical laws then man will also be able, jus… Continue

worse than fools or wise men?

There is an old saying that goes something like this:

He who knows nothing and thinks that he knows something is a fool.
He who knows something and thinks he knows nothing is worse than a fool/.
But he who knows something and knows that he knows something is a wise man.

The question for Christians is are we going to act worse than fools being led away from the truth of the gospel by the fools of this world? Or are we going to be wise men who know the truth of Christ and preach the gospel of sa… Continue

My apologies to the RCC

RCC doctrine says that Peter was the first Pope and the rock upon which the church was built was Peter and that the keys to the kingdom of heaven were given to Peter. All of those provisions are non negotiable and written in RCC stone.

That being said, I would posit the following: Our Lord identified Peter as Satan when he said "Get thee behind me Satan". Therefore:

Peter was Satan
The one to whom the keys to the kingdom were given was Peter
Therefore: The one to whom the keys to the kingdom w… Continue

Aint Those Boys Something

While meditating recently about dispensationalism my paraphrase of the famous remark made by our former President, Ronald Reagan, came to mind.
Think about it!
The time from Adam to Noah approximately 1575 years
The time from Noah to Abraham approximately 450 years
The time from Abraham to Moses approximately 430 years
The time from Moses to our Lord approximately 1650 years

The time from when our Lord and his apostles predicted the time for his parousia was at hand and was shortly to come to p… Continue

Los Angeles University Cathedral Church

I have recently come across Dr. Gene Scott and his daughter who identifies herself as Pastor Melissa Scott. Is anyone familiar with this church and Dr. Scott? The bio lists the church as the largest in the city of Los Angeles.
