Note: This is old news if you have read my past blog on this. I repeat the same stuff. But i felt a fuller response was in order now that Hill recently attempted to respond to my challenge - well, sorta.
Five months ago, i challenged William Hill of CovenantRadio on YouTube with $5oo to prove that John Humphrey Noyes of the Oneida community was a "hyper-preterist". He not only failed to deliver the proof within the allotted time (1 month), but had this to say:
I watched the video and…

As expected, the individual i challenged to a one-on-one chat about Preterism did not show up. Hence, the intro music. ROFL. I was going to talk about the differences between "Clarkian Presuppositionalism" vs "VanTIllianism", but Sam contacted two of the
House Divided authors and we managed to get all FOUR authors on our show last night! It was a great show, especially considering that we did it totally on the fly.
You can listen to the show on…

I logged into Google Analytics to check out some site stats and found this interesting little tidbit. According to Google, the most visited page on this site (excluding the home page, member page, sign in page, etc.) is this one:
Our New Black President - and it isn't Obama
Not sure how the pageviews on the actual page work, but Google is recording a number considerably higher.
I thought it was kinda funny becau…

I came across something earlier tonight - some slander - that has me boiling hot right now. I immediately recorded a response video for youtube (uploading now) to call this person out and vent some.
As mentioned in the video, i will be pursuing some legal advice tomorrow from my boss who has a ton of local connections. I also just came back from a meeting with an internet guru and will be asking him about some direction as well. In the meantime, i was wondering if anyone here has anything to of…

I just posted this on our family site. You might be interested in this if you plan on visiting the Smokies and are looking for things to do:
The Chimney Tops Hike
A photo album and short video included. Just a little break from all the theological debate; though this hike certainly was a "theological" experience for me. Enjoy. ( :

I wanted to come up with a better title than that, but i'm just lost for words right now. Since others are being frank, let me be frank. This Covenant Creation thing is just getting downright silly. There has been a load of comments recently made in view of this site being public again, and i don't know whether to laugh or cry.
When asked by someone for Covenant Creationists to explain metaphor and literal, we get this from Tami and Norm: (emphasis mine)
Tami: First,
it is important…

Guys, i want to apologize. I posted a blog a few days back regarding Dr Talbot's manhandling of a certain individual and even though i did not mention his name, it lead to it and a video and another blog post about him. I should have been more careful.
Anywho, my fault. I feel responsible for starting the lax. I've deleted all three posts (a vid and blog of which were mine), so as to stay within
site policy…

...we just need to stick a cork in it.
And the Lord said to Job:
“Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty?
He who argues with God, let him answer it.”
Then Job answered the Lord and said:
“Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer you?
I lay my hand on my mouth.
I have spoken once, and I will not answer;
twice, but I will proceed no further.”
Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:
“Dress for action like a man;
I will question you, and you make it known to…

This is just a little something i think about off and on during the day. And part of what sparked it was hearing arguments used against me from other preterists that were normally reserved in arguing against futurists and vice-a-versa. Just makes me wander if what we communicate is meaningful. Agree? Disagree? Got any more to share?

The Hebraic Mind ~ I have seen people use this to justify everything from Young Earth to No Earth to Futurism to Preterism to a flat-out rejection of logi…

Well, after seeing SGP get bad-mouthed time and time again about membership policies, doctrine, and so on; and after reading Jeff Vaughn once again falsely associate me with certain beliefs; and after watching Tami, Tim, JL, and others continuing to complain about "interaction", i reluctantly decided to rejoin DeathIsDefeated and engage JL a little. When i signed up, one of the required questions basically asked why i wanted to join. I was straight forward - i want to ask JL some questions. My a…

Some of you may not be aware of this, but Chuck Coty has made some attempt at deathisdefeated to act as a mediator, so to speak, between some of us here and some of them there. Nobody asked Chuck to do this. In fact, the only reason i know about it is because i checked out the site earlier today.
Chuck reposted some things he said here and he also said this about me in particular:
"Contrary to popular opinion, I think Jason truly posed an honest question at SGP because he truly wants dialog…

Just a little something i shared on another forum:
When battling other worldviews, it's important to know just what exactly you're up against. It's very common when debating unbelievers to find themselves classifying as either "agnostic" or "atheist".
The word "atheism" is the prefix
a + the Greek
theos. A- expresses negation, while theos is "god". So an a-theist is someone who denies the existence of god(s).
The word "agnostic" is the prefix
a + the Greek
gnosis.…

Anyone who has been paying any attention at all this past week can see more forcibly how *some* within the Covenant Creationist camp are clearly drawing the line in the sand; though this is nothing new. Bennett and I have been pointing this rhetoric out for a long time.
Sam is no longer a preterist
per Tami, Rich, Norm. (See various comments on DeathisDefeated and PlanetPreterist)
Those of us who BEGIN wit…

I was once called by one Covenant Creationist the "most divisive preterist online." He said this shortly after we created SGP and he did so after finding out that we were screening membership requests. We're not as strict as we were, but a lot of that has to do with the fact that the people i was largely concerned with tried, were denied, and thus no longer a concern. There are a few people that i simply don't want on here and i have taken a lot of heat because of it. Heat from them; heat from f…

Tami from NewCreationMinistries recently wrote an article entitled, "
The Language of Creation from Genesis to Revelation." Bennett and I have been picking at it a
little bit already - i wanted to add some more. You know us, nothing but mean ole' trouble makers...lol.
Tami says,
"In other words, we will understand that Genesis’ crea…

Hey guys,
I had a show scheduled tonight. I was messing around online from around 7pm until right up to the time of the show and my internet connection cut in and out about 4 times during that hour. Around 5 till 8pm i lost it again and it would not recover. 20 minutes later i gave up on it and watched a movie with the family.
Sorry if some of y'all were in the chat room waiting. We'll try it again next week.

Howdy folks,
As you have noticed, i have changed the look a little. Let me explain why. Mike and I have been tossing around some ideas about the theme/title of the site to be a little more broad than just "preterism". As you can see, this site is filled with everything from comedy to politics to preterism to ecclesiology to biology to rap videos to
you name it, and that is exactly what Sam, Mike, and myself love about it so much. (though some don't - we forgive 'em)
We are not shy of th…
